Process Work | Lighting Techniques

Below are some examples of my new favorite lighting patterns. All are digital images with only minimal retouching done (levels, white balance). The first two images were shot with an umbrella strobe on the viewers left hand side and a reflector on the right. There was also a fair amount of ambient light coming in on the right from a window. The bottom two images are in my mind less successful lighting wise, perhaps due to the lack of ambient light present (they were shot at nighttime so no natural light was available) In these two I also used an umbrella strobe but added a small softbox on the viewer's right as well as a reflecter.
