Process Work | Setbacks

As the days dwindle before opening night of my senior thesis exhibition I face mutiple setbacks. Within the past 3 days I have spent 6 hours shooting with multiple different models who kindly enough volunteer their time for me. For these two shoots I used my Mamiya 645 Pro and was very excited for the outcome as it was my first time shooting medium format.

While shooting it felt like things were clicking in my mind conceptually and visually. The compositions looked great through the viewfinder, everything was perfect except for the way I loaded my film. This I discovered hours later after processing. Mistakes like these are inherent within the art process. When switching tools, in this case cameras, you are going to mess up. That is just how life works and how you learn. However, with exactly a month to go before installation begins it feels like the biggest setback in the world to lose rolls of film and hours of work. I know I can just reshoot but the anxiety of the time crunch is still there.
Always read your camera's manual. 3 times. Or more.
